Investigates and adjusts complex third party bodily injury, disability income and property damage claims, processes subrogation claims, writes reports and performs other related tasks. Maintains an ongoing effort to determine and maintain equity with current claims trends and legislated requirements and programs. Recommends improvement to processes.
Supervises the day to day operations of claims staff to ensure service level agreements are met.
Schedules staff to adequately handle claim volumes, pend resolution mediations and surge staff demands
Monitors claims processing to identify any trends in edits and pending claim volumes.
Motivates and encourages staff through postitive feedback and communication
Serves as point of contact for claims processing related questions for state customer.
Provides outstanding customer services to North Carolina provider community.
Represents CSRA and state at external and/or internal customers, answering service related questions
Trains and coachs new hires and existing employees
Performs staff evaluations, documents performance goals and performance improvement plans.
Associates degree ina related field or equivalent of education and experience.
Minimum of two or more years of healthcare claims experience with at least one of those years specialized in his/her assigned activities or function. Experience in a leadership or supervisory role is a plus.
