We currently have an immediate opportunity for a Spray Dry Operator to join our Flavors Division in our Princeton, NJ site. Our Spray Dry Operator will perform the duties required for production of product, according to Firmenich's safety, quality, housekeeping, service (punctuality) and cost standards. Initally, each of the essential duties and responsibilities will be under the guidance of a Manager or Lead Senior Operator. Hours 3:00-11:30pm Monday - Friday Responsibilities: * Operation of assigned equipment in area of responsibility, includes associated pumps, filters, scales and computer systems in order to accurately and properly produce product in a precise manner. * Ensure understanding of all safety, quality and operational procedures, in order to utilize tools, equipment, electronic/computer systems in the Spray Dry Area. Communicate safety issues to Manager. * Set up, and break down equipment to clean and prep for next production run. * Conduct preliminary preventive maintenance on equipment in area of responsibility. * Ensure proper ventilation and personal protective equipment is used when operating equipment. * Ensure understanding of Quality Control requirements for sampling and product testing. * Ensure all documentation, batch cards, spreadsheets, logbooks, sanitation logs, raw material inventory are accurately maintained and up to date. * Utilize a computer to obtain: detailed formula information, availability of raw materials; post batches, check inventory, print labels and ensure all logs and paperwork are filled out properly. * Ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment at all times. * Safely operate stand up and sit down forklifts. * Maintain work area in a clean and neat manner and in accordance with cGMP. * Perform other duties as assigned. Profile: * High School diploma or GED * 3-5 years experience work manufacturing experience within Firmenich. * Prior process equipment operator experience in a manufacturing environment * Experience handling chemicals. * Knowledge of formula composition and process relationship. * Knowledge of G.M.P's (Good Manufacturing Practices) * Knowledge of H.A.C.C.P (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function.
