We are currently seeking an Equipment Operator w/ CDL to join our growing team, and we now offer a $2,000 Sign on Bonus!
Support NRC’s 24/7/365 operations supporting environmental services such as emergency response, marine services, industrial cleaning, underground storage tank removal, waste packaging and disposal, site demolition, emergency spill response and site cleanup projects by driving a variety of industrial trucks such as Vacuum Trucks, and Tankers.
NRC Equipment Operators get the opportunity to do more than just drive, are paid hourly, and are eligible for overtime pay!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate a variety of industrial trucks and equipment at client sites, on projects while under no supervision
Accurately complete all driver required paperwork and logs such as Daily Work Reports, Tailgate Safety Forms, Driver Logs, Manifests, Health and Safety forms, and any other required paperwork
Load/ unload drums, cylinders, equipment from and into vans, flatbeds, trailers and assist in retrieval or cleanup of biomedical/chemical waste
Understand and comply with company and client safety standards and set up a containment reduction zone consistent with OSHA regulations
Calibrate and use air monitoring equipment that checks for combustible gas and other potential safety hazards
Safely drive and perform safety checks on all NRC vehicles (including Class A /B) and all NRC marine vessels as required. Attach and operate equipment attachments for various vehicles (forklift, bobcat, etc).
Work with other NRC employees to support and potentially lead client projects, understanding and following all NRC personnel policies and appropriate local/federal laws.
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Requires High School or GED (or equivalent reading, writing and reasoning skills)
2+ years of experience performing similar work
Must have a valid Class “A or B” License
Hazmat, Tanker, Double/Triples Endorsement preferred
Ability to follow directions; read/write/speak and understand English; read and understand common danger placards / labels and hazardous warning literature including site safety plans.
Ability and willingness to travel and work extended hours
Ability to complete the 80-hour HAZWOPER certification (Washington only), or already possess current 8 hour HAZWOPER refresher certificate a plus
8-hour OSHA Supervisor Certification a plus
HM181 / 126F DOT Driver Training a plus
Ability to be Confined Space Qualified and CPR/First Aid certified a plus
Must be clean shaven at all times to allow for proper fit and use of respirator
