Provide direction/guidance to daily activities of production personnel with an emphasis on safety, quality, delivery and cost while maintaining a continuous improvement culture
BA in Business or Engineering or equivalent work experience in a technical industry – Medical Device preferred
A minimum of 7 years of Managerial Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
Demonstrated Success as a change agent in terms of people, processes, and culture
Experience Deploying Lean Initiatives/CI culture
Ability to positively and effectively communicate with subordinates, support personnel and across organization.
Ability to critically think and be experienced in the use of problem solving and other 6 sigma tools
Good understanding of cost accounting and experience owning a P&L is preferred
Action-oriented, results focused individual with can-do attitude.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Project and Power Point and ability to learn company’s ERP system
Responsible for achieving daily production plan of Cantel electromechanical products.
Ability to plan, schedule work and coordinate resource allocations.
Responsible for driving production efficiencies while maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety.
Provide mentoring and guidance to subordinates and others. Motivate and maintain positive employee relations
Identify and follow through on process improvements.
Effectively Communicate with Supervisor and other management personnel regarding production status, problems, personnel difficulties, etc.
Ensure department is in compliance with applicable manufacturing and medical device regulations.
Champion Talent management initiative- to include Performance Management, Training and Development, and Succession Planning
Champion a culture of continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost and GMP compliance.
Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to insure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe personnel to insure compliance with standards.
Interface with Engineering and R&D groups as related to new and existing products prior to and during production.
Manage employee performance and work in conjunction with Human Resources Department to take appropriate action when necessary.
Support and apply company policies and procedures in a consistent manner.
A key owner responsible to bring the foundations of manufacturing (6S, Lean, TOC) programs to a high level.
