Summary of Responsibilities
Ellie Mae (NYSE:ELLI) is a leading provider of innovative on-demand software solutions and services for the residential mortgage industry. Mortgage lenders of all sizes use Ellie Mae’s Encompass ® all-in-one mortgage management solution, Mavent Compliance Service, and AllRegs research, reference and education resources to improve compliance, loan quality and efficiency across the entire mortgage lifecycle.
This position is to drive multiple concurrent platform engineering and operations programs. The ideal candidate will have technical background, with experience in creating projects and programs with minimal, to no supervision, and driving them to completion. The candidate with do so with focus on high quality, on time, and on budget delivery.
We are looking for a candidate to bring rigor and best practices to work in partnership with, and to further the capability of the team.
Primary Responsibilities & Objectives
Define and lead technical programs and projects in Cloud Engineering and Operations. The programs and projects are related to software development, infrastructure, and process.
Identify in scope, out of scope requirements, schedule, milestones, risks and dependencies, and resources.
Create roadmap for new and in progress initiatives in the organization.
Be the liaison to external organizations.
Develop detailed technical understanding of all components to facilitate prioritization of requests from external organization and other key internal stakeholders as well as identify the connections and dependencies among other teams.
Manage, track, and regularly communicate on-time delivery of multi-phased programs to different levels ranging from cross functional teams to Executives.
Proactively raise issues and risks to leadership.
Drive the agile framework across the teams.
Proactively identify opportunities to drive measurable change within the organization.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
Qualifications, Skills and Education
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or equivalent professional experience.
7+ years of overall program management experience.
Strong collaboration, project planning skills
Excellent judgment, decision making skills, and the ability to work under continual deadline pressure
Excellent written and oral communications
Strong, independent leader, who is a self-starter and a proven team player in a high achievement-oriented environment
Understanding of: Firewalls, Load balancers, Switches, Routers, Virtualization (VMWare), Windows Server, Linux, Storage.
