• Senior Manager of Small Business Lending Operations

General Responsibilities :

  • Accountable for the end to end value chain for Small Business Loan Operations. This includes associates directly managed by the pod lead and an extended network of associates involved in loan approvals, processing of loans and portfolio/ risk management

  • Manage daily lending operations activities across the value chain to ensure we are delivering expected customer and business outcomes via daily standups, visual management, escalation to senior leaders as required

  • Perform regular analysis of results and subsequent drivers to remediate performance gaps, identify and implement continuous improvement efforts

  • Drive transformational improvements in the customer experience / process

  • Partner cross-functionally with other regional pods within the organization to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive results

  • Define goals, metrics and strategies for the team to ensure alignment with changing customer and business needs

  • Evaluate impacts that process changes have on the customer experience

  • Collaborate with other regional pod leads to ensure standardized delivery of work

Our ideal candidate:

  • Several years of experience in bank lending /financial services

  • Skilled in customer-back thinking and passionate about delivering a world class customer experience

  • A strategic thought partner who effectively communicates with all levels of leadership

  • A strong bias for action and a proven track record of mobilizing and building a cohesive team environment

  • Has demonstrated the ability to encourage creative problem solving within and outside of their team

  • Must have experience applying Lean/Agile principles in production environments

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or military experience

  • Certifications or equivalent experience in applying Agile, Lean, or a Six Sigma

  • At least 8 years of experience managing people

  • At least 8 years of experience in financial services or lending

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in lending, preferably in Small Business Lending

  • 1+ years leading in a matrixed environment

  • 1+ years leading cultural and process transformation
