Job Family: Information Technology Discipline: Project Management (IT) Career Level: Manager Department: PMO FLSA Status: Exempt Overall Purpose: The Project Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing the assigned Information Technology (IT) Project Portfolio in adherence to the Project Management Office (PMO) standards and methodologies. He/she will partner with appropriate IT Director to conduct portfolio-wide analysis, project scoring and advise on project/program pipeline and delivery while ensuring their respective projects are effectively managed. Responsibilities include reviewing project priorities with the IT Director and business to ensure strategic alignment. Project and portfolio dependencies, risks, capacity, governance, and forecasting are reviewed and incorporated into portfolio updates. This individual will be responsible for monitoring for quality and timely execution of project delivery. He/she will provide service, support, and administrative functions to aid in the continuous improvement of the PMO processes and procedures. This individual will work closely with the PMO Managing Director, IT Leadership and Project Managers (PM's) to capture/evaluate lessons learned across the IT portfolio and provide feedback to implement improvements that mature the project, program and portfolio management (PPM) processes. Job Responsibilities: Portfolio Management: * Pipeline Management: Partner with the PMO Managing Director and IT Directors to manage the project pipeline/intake including vetting project objectives, facilitating the project scoring/prioritization based on strategic plan, budget and resource impact. * Budget Management: Partner with IT Finance to ensure PMO and Finance projects are in sync and that there is full adherence to the IT Finance policies for budget approvals and tracking. Partner with Finance for project financial planning and forecasting including the annual planning, analysis, and support. * Resource Management: Partner with PM's to ensure projects resourced to deliver projects and identify resource or demand concerns. Monitor alignment of prioritized projects against resource capacity and partner with delivery teams to assist with balancing capacity and demand. Ensure resource issues are communicated. * Portfolio Management: Partner with the PMO Managing Director to review the portfolio and partner with IT Leadership to determine if projects can be combined, executed, deferred or cancelled. * Support: Collaborate with PM's to ensure adherence to all stage gate requirements from incep
