Kforce SMT Operator - 2nd Shift in Phoenix, Arizona

Kforce has a client seeking a SMT Operator for 2nd shift in Phoenix, AZ. Under limited supervision, responsible for moderately complex surface mount manufacturing processes utilizing automated equipment and hand assembly. Performs semi-routine SMT, Inspection and AOI equipment set-up, operation, and adjustment and utilizes other Surface Mount Technology equipment such as X-RAY, Stencil Printing, etc.Responsibilities:

  • Selects programs and adjusts SMT MYDATA and AOI equipment for proper operation, such as pick and place component placement machines, line conveyors, reflow ovens, board feeders, and automatic and semi-automatic screen printers

  • Checks circuit boards in process for proper solder paste printing, component placement, and solder reflow

  • Ensures quality of product, conformance to designated process controls and written procedures and maintains efficiency to comply with schedule requirements

  • Ensures processes and equipment remain within acceptable company manufacturing standards

  • Conducts basic preventative machine maintenance

  • Performs quality auditing, testing, and troubleshooting functions

  • Reads and interprets manufacturing routers and documents production results on appropriate forms

  • Logs are kept with neat, legible writing

  • Performs regular maintenance on equipment as applicable to job description

  • Performs SMT Setup as required

  • High School diploma or GED and 2 years related experience

  • Two-year certificate from technical school preferred

  • Regular attendance is required

  • May occasionally be required to work overtime

  • Understands pre-and post SMT operations and must have flexibility to be able to process additional operations as necessary

  • Basic reading comprehension, writing (English language) and math skills

  • Good eye/ hand coordination

  • Must know different types of SMT components by recognition

  • Detail oriented and able to multitask on production line

  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and established production standards

  • IPC-610 experience required

  • MYDATA experience Preferred
