Project Manager for ordnance handling and storage operations.
Position is contingent upon contract award.
Position is located in Oahu, Hawaii.
The Project Manager (PM) is directly responsible for all aspects of a project which provides ordnance handling and storage support on the island of Oahu.
Lead, supervise and provide daily direction to subordinate personnel.
Manage contractor provided logistics functions including ammunition receipt, storage, issue, handling, and accountability.
Manage and supervise of all attendant functions including profit / loss, contracting / subcontracting, human resources, staffing, project planning and execution, safety, and quality.
Interact with the customer to ensure proactive understanding of and responsiveness to customer needs.
Forecast workload requirements and manage resources to accomplish customer requirements.
SPECIAL TRAINING REQUIREMENTS / PREREQUISITES:
Must be able to complete required Naval Ordnance qualification / certification training.
Training is achieved through a combination of on-line and classroom training.
College Degree (BA or BS) or equivalent Military experience.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
At least five (5) years experience as a Project Manager in ammunition / ordnance handling or similar type of work.
At least six (6) years experience in ordnance management or similar type of work.
At least three (3) years experience in the supervision of employees.
Possess working knowledge of military logistics processes.
The Project Manager must have or be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
