Limbach Facility Services Operations Training & Development Leader in Orlando, Florida

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The primary objective is to develop best in class project managers, project engineers, superintendents and foreman around The Limbach Way across the entire business leading to the fulfillment of our core purpose of creating great opportunities for people. This role requires the development of the programs, including on line learning and interactive training, the delivery of the programs and provide post training assessments to ensure the staff are applying what they learned.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • With CLO, constructs an annual Limbach strategic plan for training and development, including objectives, schedule, cost projections and funding.

  • Designs, develops, implements, and delivers training programs to effectively ensure skills and processes as defined per “The Limbach Way”. The programs are to include classroom interactive session along with online distance training built around a gamification program to make the learning experience enjoyable.

  • All training programs are to have review tests to help the individual identify shortfalls in their learning experience.

  • Post training audits are to take place to score a staff members compliance with The Limbach Way requirements.

  • Develop and maintain a public training scorecard.

  • Develop a reward systems of training skill points leader to rewards for training accomplishments, including recognition of individuals that complete the training programs successfully

  • Required course offerings/modules, and prioritization of their creation to be guided by the Limbach Training & Development Steering Committee (LTDSC). Work closely with in-house Subject Matter Experts (SME), Limbach Forums and the LTDSC to ensure programs have clear and appropriate training objectives.

  • Recommends best resources for training modules, including internal or external resources, and the best method of delivery for each (instructor lead, self-instructed, train-the-trainer, on demand/computer-based).

  • Manages all external training vendor relationships.

  • Works closely with the Limbach Growth Department in the design and creation of all in-house, required training materials.

  • Works closely with Technology & Reporting Department in the development of online training and any apps that facilitate field training.

  • Coaches individual employees and their supervisors on training plans and career path development, to facilitate Limbach’s Core Purpose - “Creating Great Opportunities for People”.

  • Facilitates the administration of Limbach training processes including; enrollment, tracking/recording, certifications and logistics.

  • Partners with local organizations and government/state-funded programs to receive grants and accreditation.

  • Develops and implements tools and measures to evaluate training initiatives (course and instructor effectiveness), determines if objectives are being met for various training programs, and constantly challenges current programs and process to deliver best-in-class development of employees.

  • Conducts periodic audits (at branches and project sites ) and score their compliance. Scorecard is to be developed. Coach the local individual or team on improvement opportunities and detail the agreed upon actions. Significant deficiencies are to be reported to the COO.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position operates primarily in a professional office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office and presentation equipment such as laptops, printer/scanners, and audio visual tools.

  • Training may occasionally take place at local job sites and require the operation of tools as part of the session, which means intermittent exposure to the conditions typically associated with a construction site.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.

  • This is considered a light work position, which means possible exertion of up to twenty (20) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to ten (10) pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

TRAVEL:

  • This position may require up to 50% travel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three to five (3-5) years experience in a position that required training and/or coaching others.

  • Demonstrated communication, leadership, and relationship management skills.

  • Ability to produce meaningful/quantifiable results under limited supervision.

  • Experience within the Construction Management industry.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Construction company process audit experience.

  • OSHA 500 Certification
