BMO Financial Group Senior Operations Governance Analyst in Ontario, Canada

Description:

This is a full time, permanent role located at 4100 Gordon Baker Rd in Scarborough. The Senior Operations Governance Analyst is responsible for supporting the programs and initiatives of the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) team. In this capacity the Senior Governance Analyst helps to mitigate financial, reputational, security and regulatory risks to the IT Operations (ITOS) organization. Other responsibilities include: developing material for communication to ITOS staff, support of various ITOS processes, data analysis and project tracking.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provides support of day-to-day Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) initiatives including information management, data analysis and reporting.

  • Develops and maintains communication(s) material on behalf of the ITOS GRC team.

  • Maintains GRC intranet site and SharePoint sites.

  • Provides process support to Compliance Officer(s) as required to ensure security compliance and operational governance.

  • Supports the IT Operations response to internal and external auditors

  • Participates in Disaster Recovery planning and Business Continuity planning exercises to ensure regulatory and corporate compliance

  • Participates in testing, evaluation, monitoring and resolution of new and existing process gaps to combat emerging and existing threats.

  • Participates in Change Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, and Inventory Management activities based on the ITIL framework to meet organizational goals

  • Creates, documents, and critiques operational procedures in order to comply with policy and operational framework.

  • Participates in projects as required to support compliance with risk mitigation initiatives.

  • Participates in research and solutions testing with various project teams to provide security requirements and design support

  • Provides awareness and communication for known or emerging issues as well as appropriate recommendations

  • Performs knowledge transfer to assist making risk mitigation strategies part of normal IT and business activities

  • Contributes to BMO Financial Group’s overall business results by making recommendations that significantly improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
