Grande has a Field Operations Supervisor position available in our Odessa, Texas market. This position will be responsible for managing the installation, service and maintenance and repair groups. In this role, the primary responsibilities will include: Manages the Broadband Network Technicians (BNTs) and Broadband Service Technicians (BSTs) and Broadband Communications Technician (BCT) group activities included but limited to: network maintenance, service calls, and other related service issues, employee training and development, hiring, performance management and quality assurance, and preparation of annual departmental budgets for both Capital and Operating expenses. Monitors network performance and reliability and manages network preventative maintenance scheduling. Ensures compliance with all state and federal record keeping, safety, and operational/technical specifications (FCC, PUC, OSHA, etc) Generates additional sales opportunities through training and motivation of the Broadband Communications Technicians; Resolves escalated customer complaints and issues in a timely and courteous manner, as necessary; will have on-call duties as assigned. Resolves escalated network degrades and outages and other related network issues in a timely and courteous manner, as necessary; Effectively communicates all critical information, as needed, to the Field Operations team and other departments/entities; Drives a company vehicle in the course and scope of performing duties. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in related field preferred or equivalent relevant experience. Three (3) or more years of experience in a broadband related position with all three products (phone, HSD, CATV) and demonstrate technical proficiency related to but not limited to the following platforms and the required test equipment to maintain those platforms: Platforms = DFHFC, DISC*S Copper DLC s, HFC, SONET Network Test/Repair Equipment = OTDR, 860 DSP, HP 8591C, Fiber Splicing unit (FITEL, tomcat, etc.), RSVP, SST, Dynatel 965, T-Berd 2209 Intermediate level PC, laptop and router skills, along with Microsoft Office Suite and Window-based software skills Great attitude, customer service skills and ability to act with a sense of urgency Valid driver s license and satisfactory driving record per Fleet policy Maintain satisfactory background check per Company standards Grande proudly embraces diversity and continues to be an equal opportunity employer!
