Chewy Inventory Control Operations Manager in Ocala, Florida

Chewy is currently recruiting for an Inventory Control Operations Manager for our new fulfillment center in Ocala, FL. This role requires a candidate with the proven ability to drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with our fast growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment. This individual will be someone who likes dealing with ambiguity, change, and enjoys getting into the details to drive improvements every single day.

What you\u0026#39;ll do:

  • Measurement of quality \u0026amp;amp; inventory transaction accuracy while providing feedback to fulfillment operations

  • Review \u0026amp;amp; analysis of customer defect data with development of corresponding action plans to reduce defects

  • Develop \u0026amp;amp; execute daily, weekly \u0026amp;amp; monthly action plans that increase quality, inventory accuracy \u0026amp;amp; service

  • Partner with Operations Managers in the communication of policies

  • Follow up to ensure compliance \u0026amp;amp; consistency for policies \u0026amp;amp; procedures surrounding Inventory Control \u0026amp;amp; Quality

  • Plan \u0026amp;amp; execute cycle counts as described in each area of the facility

  • Establish \u0026amp;amp; Maintain Inventory handling procedures within the building

  • Plan for \u0026amp;amp; identify root causes of inventory deviation through cause \u0026amp;amp; effect analysis

  • Lead \u0026amp;amp; supervise a team supervisors \u0026amp;amp; hourly associates in Inventory Control / Quality Assurance operations within the fulfillment center.

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, \u0026amp;amp; evaluation of the operation

What You\u0026#39;ll Need:

  • 5+ years of management experience in fulfillment center/warehouse operations; prefer retail/e-commerce experience

  • At least 4 years of management experience within Inventory Control, and/or Order Fulfillment

  • At least 4 years of proven experience of effectively managing large groups of hourly employees.

  • Experience with building or improving inventory management, order management, and warehouse management systems and processes

  • Excitement for working in a start-up environment with high level of ambiguity and change

  • Strong analytical, math, data analysis, listening \u0026amp;amp; communication skills

  • Ability to show Inventory \u0026amp;amp; Quality improvement in a continually improving environment

  • Ability to quickly pick up various software systems and data analysis tools

  • Strong project management and continuous improvement skills

  • Metrics driven mindset

  • Customer service obsession, with willingness to do whatever it takes to satisfy customer needs

  • Effective communicator and leader for employees, direct reports, cross-functional teams and executive leadership

  • Must flexible to work weekends and/or nightshift
