Warehouse Operator - 1700006097 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: The warehouse operator is responsible for receiving raw materials, unloading the materials using a forklift or electric pallet jack and placing the containers into racking; or pulling finished goods from the racking, confirming proper labeling of the materials and loading the finished goods (pallet, drums, totes) onto tractor trailers. The warehouse positions are in the receiving department and shipping department. The warehouse operator will be using a variety of material handling equipment to move pallets, drums and totes, including swing mast high reach forklifts, standard sit-down electric forklifts and stand-up electric pallet jacks. Operators are required to use a handheld scanner linked to a Warehouse Inventory Tracking System WITS). Additionally, the warehouse operator will process inventory through various screens on the WITS system to assure inventory accuracy. Cycle counting inventory, repair of damaged containers, changing batteries on the equipment, labeling or relabeling product are additional responsibilities of this position. The warehouse operator will assure that product being received is in proper condition, creates and places labels on the containers and scan containers to a location in racking, which extends 5 levels high. Warehouse Operators will also work with WITS, work in racking that has 5 levels, palletize and shrink wrap/band material as needed, assure proper labeling is on each container and load onto tractor trailers. Successful candidates will be safe and efficient operators of material handling equipment, have the ability to interact effectively with co-workers, willing to work overtime as needed, capable of problem solving, ability to lift. Must be capable of working safely in a fast-paced environment. Must be willing to work overtime as needed Ability to lift 50 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs required High school diploma/GED preferred.
