How you will impact Ingevity:

This exciting IT Enterprise Operations Co-op provides the opportunity to work with a leading global manufacturer of specialty chemicals and performance carbon materials. The purpose of this Co-op is to provide real world experience to students with proven academic performance and leadership potential. Co-ops will have the opportunity for meaningful contributions to multiple host department’s businessobjectives while gaining exposure to multiple areas of IT. This position will be based at Ingevity’s headquarters in North Charleston, SC.

Key responsibilities will vary based on host department and can include:

  • Researching new technologies, creating proof of concepts, implementing projects and measuring/reporting results

  • Support Corporate IT Enterprise Infrastructure personnel to review and improve processes, ensuring that global operations run effectively and are meeting the global business needs of Ingevity

  • Work with team leads in IT Security, IT Enterprise Applications, IT End User Services in areas of testing and process documentation/improvements

  • Work with various teams on testing infrastructure integration with various applications, systems, processes and security

What you need to succeed:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8+ Availability to work 15-20 hours per week, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00AM-5:00PM

  • Completed at least 2 years of a related academic program prior to the start of the Co-op

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as exceptional organizational skills

  • Drive to research new technologies

  • Analytical and creative problem solving abilities

  • Ability to develop positive working relationships in a cross functional team environment

  • Technical aptitude, a hands-on mindset and software proficiency in Microsoft 0365

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Flexibility to travel: under 5%
