These positions are Entry Level Operations Research Analyst for NAVSUP.

Correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results and performs specific operations relative to an experiment, study, design or research project.

The Operations Research Analyst Basic Requirement for this position is: a Bachelor's degree in a Degree in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the qualification requirements if the applicant can provide documentation indicating that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States. For GS-07 your resume must demonstrate at least one or more years of progressively related experience that has equipped me with necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience include applying basic theories, concepts, principles, and methodologies to achieve objectives; carry out, interpret, and explain basic computations and calculations; and read, understand, analyze, interpret and convey findings OR
have Superior Academic Achievement at the baccalaureate level in Operations Research or related degree. In order to be qualified for Superior Academic Achievement, you must meet one of the following provisions: 1. Maintained a grade-point average of "B" (a GPA of 3.0 or higher) for all completed undergraduate courses, or those completed in the last two years of undergraduate study. - OR - 2. Maintained a grade-point average "B+" (a GPA of 3.5 or higher) for all courses in your major field of study, or those courses in your major completed in the last two years of undergraduate study. - OR - 3. Rank in the upper one-third of your class in the college, university, or major subdivision. - OR - 4. Be a member of a national honor (other than freshman honor societies) recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies. NOTE: GPA's are to be rounded to one decimal place. For example, 2.95 will round to 3.0 and 2.94 will round to 2.9. If more than 10 percent of your undergraduate course work (credit hours) were taken on a pass/fail or similar basis, your claim must be based on class standing or membership in an honor society. You must submit a college transcript(s) showing your grade point average for all years of undergraduate study, including all transferred courses OR 1 year of graduate-level education in Operation Research or related field. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.

This position has promotion potential to the GS-12 grade depending on location and command.
