Description

  • Operate Brewery Utilities systems including: High Pressure steam boilers, CO2 collection equipment, Freon refrigeration and dehumidification systems, compressed air supply and Plant water supply systems. Monitor electrical distribution systems to the Plant.

  • Perform boiler water and cooling tower water chemical treatment.

  • Oversee the Plant sewer treatment facility.

  • Responsible for process management, basic maintenance tasks, lubrication, housekeeping, and sanitation.

  • Document and respond to all activities that occur during shift of responsibility.

  • Respond to customer department requests for assistance with Utility system optimization and/or isolation.

  • The position involves rotating shift work, working weekends, and working in a quality, food-processing environment.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools (excel, Word, Outlook & Powerpoint)

  • Function in a lean manufacturing work environment using statistical tools to optimize processes.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

  • NJ State Blue Seal Steam license

  • 3 years of experience operating a non-package boiler

  • Letter of reference from current Chief Engineer or Plant Manager

  • Experience performing boiler water treatment testing

  • Experience participating in boiler overhauls

  • Experience performing maintenance on boiler

  • Good mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to work rotating shifts.

  • Strong Troubleshooting ability

  • Excellent Learning ability

  • Attention to detail

  • Able to multitask

  • Basic PC skills ( Microsoft office suite)

Preferred

  • NJ State Blue Seal Refrigeration License.

  • Experience operating refrigeration equipment

  • Cooling tower experience

  • Steam Turbine operation & maintenance

  • Familiar with lean manufacturing tools (6 sigma tools).
