JPMorgan Chase Operations Manager - Wholesale Loan Operations | Newark, DE in Newark, Delaware

General Summary:

This position is responsible for providing leadership to a team of Account Managers performing a variety of functions to facilitate the closing, quality control and processing of syndicated, non-syndicated and bilateral deals, facilities and loans.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Manage a team of 8-10 professional level staff who are responsible for Transaction Processing and Client support.

· Manage the professional development of staff through effective leadership by providing coaching and feedback, performance appraisals, training, promotion compensation recommendation

· Responsible for planning and implementation of the department’s objectives

· Ensure all delegated transactions are completed and approved in a timely manner adhering to required guidelines

· Ensure new deals, amendments and restructures, as scheduled in the pipeline report or otherwise, are assigned and proceeding on schedule

· Assigning new clients to the respective Account Manager and Backup Account Manager

· Manage the complexity, volume and activity of account managers’ portfolios

· Responsible for resolving escalation items received from the Account Managers

· Manage and monitor all exception reporting including nostros and past dues escalating appropriately

· Ensure proper controls are in place and updated accordingly minimizing operating risk

· New processes and enhancements: identify, develop, document, communicate and train

· Attend KPI and other management meetings to discuss exceptions

· Client, Lender, and Banker relationship management

· Manage the professional development of staff through effective leadership by providing coaching and feedback, performance appraisals, training, promotion compensation recommendation

· Actively participate in Global Loan initiatives working with other managers to identify system enhancements and other processes impacting Global Loan Ops

· Identify and manage various projects

Minimum Requirements:

· Undergraduate degree is preferred but directly related job and industry experience can be accepted as a substitute

· Experience in a managerial role within the Financial Services Industry strongly preferred

· Experience in reading & interpreting credit agreements and legal loan documentation preferred

· Must be highly organized with the ability to manage a variety of tasks

· Excellent communications skills, oral and written

· Strong interpersonal/client servicing skills

· Strong analytical, problem solving and judgment skills

· Working knowledge of syndicate and related systems

· General accounting knowledge
