The Role:Sales Operations Representative - Transaction Management (S&P Global Ratings)
The Location:New York, NY or Centennial, CO
Transaction Management is a dynamic, innovative and creative team responsible for enabling and managing sales fulfilment processes, and acting as junior sales support for reactive business opportunities. As lean management (“Way We Work”) initiatives expand into the global commercial function, Transaction Management will be the first-adopters; with “can do” attitudes, the contributing U.S. team members spearheading change, will do so for a fast paced high volume region.
The Sales Operations Representative is a back-office role contributing to the overall success of the sales organization by ensuring we react and assign opportunities quickly, and meet audit and regulatory requirements. The role drives premium customer satisfaction, which is highly valued by internal and external clients, by delivering timely and seamless execution.

Develop your knowledge of Business and Sales Operations processes in the financial services sector
Develop your understanding of primary products/services within a Ratings business and their impact in the Capital Markets.
Participate in projects focused on introducing lean management principles for maximizing value for the Sales organization
Manage Sales fulfilment processes, primarily including order execution, ensuring accurate billing and system entry to ensure maximum revenue realization
Generate renewal and new issue reports to support sales in proactively managing their opportunities therefore reducing the number of missed or delayed opportunities
Track customer developments and trends to help shape future offerings.
Collaborate with Business Developers, Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and other Transaction Managers to effectively manage the sales pipeline and assist in handling transactional customer queries
Collaborate with other internal functions and act as bridge between Sales and those functions as required
Appropriate understanding of relevant regulation and company policies for supporting internal and external clients
Maintain knowledge and understanding of the pricing strategies and approval guidelines
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Sales & Marketing, Business Management, Finance or Accounting or similar
Strong and effective oral and written communication to effectively interact with clients and S&P Global staff
Advanced systems skills, including complete understanding of Excel (formulas, macros, pivots)
Knowledge of salesforce.com
Understanding of lean management and/or coaching
Understanding of primary products/services within a Ratings business, and elementary understanding of the Capital Markets would be advantageous
