Healthfirst Retail Strategy and Operations Associate in New York, New York

Reporting to the Retail Strategy Manager, the Retail Strategy Associate is responsible for supporting cross|functionally teams to assist the Retail Manager to develop, assist in execution, and continuously improve upon a retail strategy that supports the member and prospect experience across product lines and throughout the consumer lifecycle. This role primarily supports the consumer experience and attaining profitable growth. This will include day|to|day strategic development of numerous community|based offices and retail sites. This role will promote the Healthfirst brand and values through retail venues, improve and enhance the consumer experience, maximize profitability of retail channels, and monitor member acquisition cost by line of business and location.

Duties & Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for supporting retail strategy and operations through:

  • Regular on-site field presence and daily coordination with stakeholders across the organization, including Sales, Marketing, Member Services, Provider, Community Outreach, Compliance, Facilities, and IT to support existing retail sites and stay abreast with competitive landscape

  • Identification of areas/new retail initiatives to improve member and prospect experience at retail locations

  • Identification of potential expansion opportunities for retail space based on local market dynamics/competitive landscape, expected profitability, and strategic value

  • Operational support to strategic retail projects/initiatives including but not limited to automated systems for customer check-in, ID card replacement, member portal and such, and other customer amenities such reading materials, beverage bar, etc.

  • Improvement of data collection and transparency in the Company’s retail locations, tracking, analysis, and reporting on profitability of retail channels and competitive landscape

  • Coordination with vendors, landlords, Purchasing and Accounts Payable, as needed, on but not limited to RFIs/RFPs, leases, payment processing, etc.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • Customer / retail experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adjust to changes quickly while meeting all deadlines

  • Ability to manage people and processes cross-functionally

  • Ability to initiate and work independently in/out of corporate office and retail spaces

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to travel throughout the 5 boroughs and LI (Suffolk and Nassau counties)

  • Valid Driver’s License for travel to sites throughout service area

  • Insured vehicle

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to own strategic, operational, and detail-oriented functional responsibilities

  • Ability to collect and extract business insights from quantitative and qualitative data

  • Ability to develop business ideas, design and develop proposals, and launch retail projects

  • Ability to map processes and develop P&Ps

  • Ability to develop project plans and execute upon them

  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion of sensitive or confidential matters.

  • Ability to serve as a representative for Product team.

  • Ability to represent HF in a public setting

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio
