Paralegal & Contracts Operation Specialist – S&P Global Platts – London or New York
The successful candidate will perform various Paralegal tasks and be responsible for the management and operation of the Platts contract management system and other technical and centralized applications that support Platts globally. In addition to contract management and administration, this position will assist the Platts legal team with paralegal functions such as trademark administration, due diligence on corporate transactions, corporate entity and tax support, document discovery and various other tasks.
Manage contract administration and database, and other technical and centralized applications that support the Platts legal team on a global basis, including by interacting with the Platts technology team and external vendors to ensure ongoing functionality of such technology and implementation of updates.
Responsible for administering a variety of contracts including service agreements, customer contracts, vendor contracts, software licenses, NDAs, amendments, order forms and related documents. Manage new requests submitted for legal support with such agreements in the contract management database.
Ensure timely and accurate recording of routed agreements into contract management system and that all executed agreements are entered into the contract database in a timely and accurate fashion.
Work with the Platts legal team Platts sales and business management (including sales administration, product managers) to incorporate new processes and procedures into the contract process in an effort to integrate improvement - efficiencies in the contract process through new technology, etc.
The Career Opportunity:
Ensure integrity and accuracy of the information in the database. Conduct periodic reviews to confirm integrity and accuracy of information in the database and provide recommendations on continued improvements to the application. Ensure that all information obtained by the Platts legal team is entered into the Applications on an accurate and timely basis (including, among other things, terminations and assignments).
Assist with trademark administration for the Platts business, including working with colleagues on the SPGI legal team and outside counsel to manage trademark administration.
Assist with due diligence in corporate transactions and integration tasks for acquisitions.
Assist the Platts legal team and colleagues in the corporate functions with corporate secretarial - entity and tax-related work.
Assist inside and outside counsel with document discovery in various legal matters as they arise.

Bachelor Degree or the equivalent legal qualifications
Previous working experience in a Paralegal position within a corporate environment
Legal, Licensing & Market Data exposure is essential
Knowledge of contract databases and other information management tools. Spring CM is highly sought after
Proven management skills and the ability to develop employees
The ability to draft documentation and be able to present and articulate
