About Aon

Aon Is Looking For A Broking Chief Operating Officer.As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Global Health & Benefits business group within Aon Risk Solutions. Location New York, Chicago or other major US city. As a Chief Operating Officer, you will report directly to the Global Health Chief Broking Officer.

Your Impact As A Broking Chief Operating Officer

Position Responsibilities

  • Owns and manages governance for global H&B; broking;
  • Manages broking Program Management Office and PMO direct reports;
  • Works with direct reports to manage ongoing timeline, workload, staffing and budget;
  • Manages process, content and format development for various deliverables, including broking quarterly business reviews, broking investment/M&A; due diligence, broking initiatives, etc.;
  • Tracks/project manages key broking initiatives, deliverables and follow-ups;
  • Leads global broking process/efficiency improvement;
  • Manages/evaluates/improves quality of ongoing broking deliverables and data process;
  • Leads and provides analytics & insight for quarterly broking business reviews;
  • Leads development of business case approach for evaluating broking investments/M&A; strategy;
  • Manages utilization and efficacy of H&B; India/offshore broking resources
  • Determines/approves broking compliance and governance exceptions; Manages non-compliance escalation process and communication;
  • Triages issues to ensure appropriate resolution; Focal point for broking escalations;
  • Creates tracking repository/documentation/management of broking financial levers, including supplemental compensation, SPS, etc.;
  • Ensures effective broking new hire process and ongoing colleague development/engagement;
  • Manages Aon broking compensation disclosure process/compliance to clients;
  • Leads regular leadership communication and reporting approach;
  • Develops broking product improvement/enhancement (white-boarding) initiatives, working with broking leaders and product subject matter experts (SMEs);
  • Works collaboratively and effectively with Aon H&B; Broking Regional CBOs;
  • Coordinates and facilitates periodic meetings and materials with Aon broking teams;
  • Negotiates selected broking engagement terms, conditions, and pricing;
  • Works closely with Aon broking teams to deliver consistent client value;
  • Enables alignment and measurement of H&B; Broking Centers

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10 -15+ years of relevant consulting, broking and/or carrier experience
  • Proven track record of building/managing teams and operations
  • Ability to multi-task, manage projects and work within deadlines
  • Professional approach and strong communication skills
  • People management experience
  • Ability/flexibility to travel extensively throughout the world (30-50%)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Program Management designations (e.g., PMP) and/or Lean/Six Sigma designations
  • Strong product knowledge of health care coverages including medical, dental, vision, life, disability and other Elective/Voluntary benefits
  • Life and Health license
