This position will be responsible for working closely with LSCM leadership, Center of Excellence, and Field Operations to identify, analyze, and implement initiatives that drive efficiencies, eliminate waste, and improve service across the LSCM enterprise.
In this role, you will have responsibility for providing analysis, business justification, project leadership, and results for initiatives that support operational effectiveness as agreed to by LSCM leadership. In this highly visible role, you will interact with many functional groups within Bridgestone including Commercial, Finance, Quality, and Manufacturing. To be successful in this role, you must also be highly organized, innovative, and results oriented; with the ability to manage multiple tasks. This position will report to the Executive Director – Logistics.
Overall stewardship of the LSCM Driving Value Program and Lean Logistics activities, including idea generation, prioritization process, results tracking, and reporting.
Work with DC operations teams to ensure standards driven processes are in place and to share best practices across facilities.
Work with IT and Business Integration teams to ensure new functionality is understood and implemented for systems such as LMS, WMS, TMS, and SAP.
Manage and contribute to key projects as directed by LSCM leadership.
Work collaboratively with customer service, factories, and across LSCM to identify improvement opportunities, such as factory to customer deliveries, territory shifts, etc.
Assist in the development of original and revised budgets, including mid term planning.
Lead and manage continuous improvement activities, ensuring that we have the processes, organization, and technology required to meet LSCM strategies and objectives.
Collaborate with key customers to better understand joint opportunities to improve sales and reduce operating expenses through improved logistics processes and capabilities.
BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of supply chain and operations experience, with a strong track record of career advancement.
Candidate must understand all aspects of supply chain and customer service, while possessing a keen understanding of commercial teams and processes.
Proven leader with ability to be an exemplary teammate in the areas of trust, integrity, transparency, communication, and results.
Understanding of end to end supply chain and commercial processes.
Ability to analyze process flows and create detailed process mapping.
End to end project management experience.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to consolidate data, analyze results, and present recommendations.
Understanding of supply chain systems such as warehouse management, yard management, transportation management and SAP.
Ability to self-direct work with broad guidance and input from management
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with subordinates, peers, and leaders at all levels of management
Knowledge of change management principles and execution.
Experience in developing operational budgets and sound processes to ensure ongoing financial success.
Ability to influence others toward consensus and action.
Solid understanding of Lean Principles is a must, and Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred.
Experience collaborating with key customers and demonstrated results in creating joint value.
