The Message Center Operator/Dispatcher in Muncie, Indiana

Dispatching of Fire/Police, Answering telephone primarily for service businesses, including repairs, funeral homes, medical facilities, heating and cooling, etc. Answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls to relay messages to the appropriate person based on business guidelines. Capable of making quick decisions and ability to follow telephone scripts. Excellent listening, typing and oral communication skills including the ability to speak clearly and with proper telephone etiquette to both clients and their callers. Maintain a professional, empathetic and friendly attitude. Self-starter and self-motivator with strong, positive work ethic. Punctuality and attendance is a must. High School diploma or GED required. Basic computer proficiency. Telephone Answering Service/Customer Service experience a plus. Type 40 wpm and excellent Verbal/Written Communication Skills. Ability and Flexibility to work variety of shifts. Facility is open 24/7.
