Includes stock and special order door types.Summary of essential job functions-Review and understand production order.-Operate production machinery-Quality control-Perform tasks related to the production of slabs and Pre-hung units. Includes but not limited to building pre-hungs, transoms and side lights, applying spreader bars and feet, cutting and apply head stop, creating cut outs and cutting down doors/frames, manning the hanging table.-Ensure quality product is being produced and meets specifications outlined on the order. If feasible, fix or repair raw materials so they can be used in production.-Properly package doors or units in required manner to ensure minimal damage during movement and shipping.-Properly document raw material substitutions to ensure accurate inventory and communication to line workers.-Document finished good location.-Report any maintenance needs for line equipment to Line Lead for escalation to Production Foreman.-Wear proper safety equipment and use proper safety techniques at all times.-Assist in maintaining a clean production environment at all times. Includes but it not limited to maintaining clean floor/walkways, emptying trash cans and recycling as appropriate.General Physical Requirements-Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or, 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects by carrying, pushing, pulling or lifting-Visual acuity to operate machines-Inside environmental conditions-Walking/Standing-ReachingGeneral Mental Requirements-Read and write the English language-Written and oral communicationsOther Requirements- Previous production machine operating experience required-Previous quality control experience a strong plus-Forklift certified, or the ability to become forklift certified-Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment-Ability to operate hand and power toolsJob Type: Full-time
