We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Training System Specialist I (LMS)
The Specialist 1 is responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of systems, tools, and infrastructure to support the Operational Excellence training program within the Global Continuous Improvement group. This job role will work closely with the Business Partner: OpEx Systems and Tools Manager, as well as Global OpEx systems and toolset users. An ideal candidate is able to work independently and proactively, has excellent verbal and written communication skills, is extremely organized, and is comfortable working with all levels of the organization

Impact this role will have on Abbott:
Management of training content and advertising on SharePoint, LMS (Learning Management System), internal company Intranet, and other physical and/or digital media outlets as appropriate.
Maintains training material delivered through a variety of methods including classroom, virtual, web, video, hands-on learning.
Responsible for deployment of course evaluations, and tracking and trending of training statistics
Point person for basic inquiries on Operational Excellence training offerings
Assist in the creation and maintenance of course templates, facilitator guides, and playbooks to ensure consistent user/trainee experience across courses, modules, and geographies to facilitate rapid global replication.
Support development of Operational Excellence systems, tools, methodologies, and training materials.
Ensure use of standardized templates and course branding
Point person to coordinate with contractors and external service providers for material maintenance and distribution as needed
Coordination of training schedules and logistics (train-the-trainer program, material translations, material printing or shipping, travel and/or catering needs)
Your e experience(s), education and knowledge will further expand Abbott’s marketplace success:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional setting
MS Office proficiency
Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments across a Global landscape
Strong communication skills with a customer focus
Working knowledge of learning management systems (LMS)
Your preferred qualifications and education:
Working knowledge of web delivery tools (Sharepoint)
Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
