Soil Scale/Belt Operator - 2nd Shift-310065 Description Job Summary: The Soil Scale Operator is responsible for weighing soiled materials/product, recording weights on paper tickets, and using automated equipment to hoist and move product to washfloor for staging and laundering. The shift is 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday Through Friday Job Functions: Essential Functions: Pulls wheeled carts or bins from the unloading or sorting floor and organizes as required. Moves carts to weighing area, attaches hooks to bag handles, using rolling steps as necessary to reach. Uses automated equipment to hoist bag for weighing. Operates scale to weigh bags. Locates, adds and adjusts contents to ensure correct weights as needed and re-weighs until accurate. Counts soiled items. Writes weight, product type, and lot number onto paper ticket and places ticket with bag, or enters information into computer and prints tickets. Place completed ticket on top of bin for next steps. Operates machine to move bags of product on trolley across to washfloor and uses discretion to determine the correct priority order. Cleans and sanitizes empty carts, bags or equipment. Takes empty bags off hooks and places in carts Non-Essential Functions: Other duties as assigned.
