Job Overview:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing analytic support to the Operations Leadership team to drive business growth while focusing on profitability and managing risk exposures to the company.

The Financial Analyst maintains a strong relationship with the Operations Director, GMs, VP and other leaders in the Business unit to provide financial support and analysis. The role will also act as a liaison with other teams such as Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis and Human Resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Accountable for performing operating and financial analysis to help drive better understanding of the business and key drivers for improved profitability.

  • Identify and provide data for critical and key operations metrics such in 4 key areas:

  • Revenue

  • Forecast

  • Capacity management

  • Budget

  • Lead scheduled reviews with the Operations leadership team to discuss key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Participating in the annual budgeting and planning process.

  • Develop and implement operational reporting processes and analytics to achieve business objectives.

  • Participate in the monthly close process including reviewing trends and changes in the P&Ls. Respond to and investigate questions from the leadership team about financial statements including trends or transactional detail.

  • Development of long term vision for the business unit and implementation of strategies to meet that vision.

This position will interface directly with all levels and departments within Perficient.


  • 2 – 5 years of experience required in Finance, Accounting or Business Operations.

  • High level of fluency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Knowledge of the project structure in client/consultant business environment.

  • Ability to evaluate and develop efficient and effective operational processes.

  • Ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable information and plans.

  • Ability to think proactively.

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.

  • Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities.

  • Proven conflict management skills and professionalism.

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.


  • Experience in the professional services industry and understanding of key KPIs and metrics commonly used.

  • Experience using Oracle eBusiness Suite Projects module.

  • Experience using Oracle Business Intelligence reporting.
