Palermo's Pizza Second Shift Warehouse Stand Up Forklift Operator in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Stand Up Forklift Operator is responsible for receiving and storing raw ingredients and packaging materials, picking pallets and delivering to production lines, keeping work area clean and prevent debris from entering product stream.
The Warehouse Stand Up Forklift Operator is responsible for all or part of these areas:
Receiving products accurately.
Shipping products accurately.
Inventory all products accurately.
Delivering products to production lines in a timely manner to avoid line shutdown.
Accurately counting and returning partial pallets from production.
Accurately recording production by number of cases per pallet
Safely transporting pallets from one location to another and/or onto outbound trailers.
Regular and on-time attendance.
Essentials of the position:
Verify materials received against purchase order.
Transport materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas using forklift or pallet rider.
Ensure neat and orderly storage of material.
Release material to production areas.
Maintain inventory on computer system.
Notify supervisor of low inventory supply.
Periodically, participate in physical inventory of ingredients, packaging material and supplies.
Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 2 years job related experience.
Must be able to read, write, speak, understand English.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
