GO RITEWAY TRANSPORTATION GROUP School Bus Operations Software in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 1. (30%) Manages, administers, and coordinates effective companywide school bus routing using Versatrans. a. Supervise the development of routing plans and strategies to improve service to our school districts. b. Lead special projects to interface with school district student information systems for online parent/guardian access to route information. c. Monitors and analyzes data and other information (with local terminal input) related to route arrival, layover and departure times for efficient bus utilization. d. Administer map upgrades and the addition of new streets and address ranges. e. Ensure the accurate setting up of new school district criteria to include: school locations; bell times; student programs; student information fields; shuttles/transfers, etc. f. Ensures the coordination and completion of required records to track and document student ridership data for district state transportation reports. g. Assist with the coordination of student route letter updates. h. Assist with the import and export of student information data. i. Coordinate online and/or on-sight training with our software routing vendor. j. Coordinate software upgrades with assistance from software vendor and IT vendor. k. Assist with projected attendance boundary changes and student population projections. l. Coordinate GPS data with layout of routes as implementation of this technology is expected from our school district customers or GO Riteway management. 2. (25%) Manages, administers, and coordinates effective companywide school bus Charter program use with BusHive. m. Monitors and analyzes data and other information (with local terminal input) related to Charter order information and general accuracy in Charter data. n. Work as subject matter expert in troubleshooting and assisting terminals with any questions or concerns involving BusHive. o. Assist with the import and export of charter information data. p. Coordinate online and/or on-sight training with our software vendor. q. Coordinate software upgrades with assistance from software vendor and IT vendor. 3. (25%) Trains and supports terminal management and staff in the administration of our Routing, Charter, DVR, and GPS system. a. Conduct and/or assist local terminal managers and route coordinators with special routing and scheduling scenarios as requested by our school district customers or corporate GO Riteway management. b. Provide training to new GO Riteway staff (managers, supervisors, routing coordinators, dispatchers) to include: Routing/Scheduling concepts and principles; use of computer routing software; tracking and documenting student ridership data for district state transportation reports; problem resolution techniques related to routing and scheduling issues; address matching techniques. c. Assists local routing coordinators with district, attendance area, walk area and bus stop boundary accuracy to comply with school district transportation guidelines. This includes compliance with a district*s Unusually Hazardous Transportation Plan (UHT). 4. (20%) Assist with and act as a subject matter expert for all questions or projects involving the various company operations software.? a. Assists operations manager/supervisor and/or routing coordinator with solutions to problems/issues related to charters, routes, schedules and bus stops. b. Assist with and verify that all required data is backed-up on a daily basis. c. Assist with the design of special reports within the various software platforms. d. Assist with and provide training for address matching; eligibility checking. e. Assist local manager/supervisor and/or routing coordinator with excel spreadsheet data manipulation of data into preferred format for information for school district: state transportation report; school staff report of bus route information (alpha by grade; alpha by school, etc.) by established due dates. Demonstrated skills involving the use of computers, software and other office equipment to input, store and retrieve needed information. Experience with MS Word and Excel.
