Job Summary

The Office Operations Associate performs a variety of clerical, reception and office support functions for Environmental Services. This position will assist in coordinating recruitments and processing of human resources transactions for University Staff. Additionally, this position maintains employee records and computer databases and coordinates the performance evaluation program for the department. This position is also responsible for maintaining departmental supplies and equipment.

This position is part-time (60%).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of paraprofessional office work experience.

  • Customer service experience.

  • Evidence of experience with database, spreadsheet and word processing software. (i.e., Word, Excel)

  • Evidence of experience with office management practices and procedures, including filing and record keeping methods.

  • Evidence of the ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Evidence of knowledge of organizational and time management techniques and the ability to handle a variety of tasks with numerous interruptions and strict deadlines.

  • Evidence of effective organizational skills.

  • Evidence of possessing the knowledge of federal, state and university policies and procedures related to staff benefits, recruitment, compensation, etc.

  • Evidence of the ability to plan, prioritize and organize various and complex tasks.
