JOB REQUIREMENTS: Set up, operate, or tend more than one type of cutting or forming machine tool or robot. CNC Machine Operator Hatch Staffing Services Direct Hire - Full time $12/hr SUMMARY: We are currently seeking 1st and 2nd shift CNC Router Operators Monday - Friday with mandatory and optional Saturdays. Operators will be responsible for running the CNC Router machines to deliver quality parts while keeping machine up-time at a minimum of 85%. 1st shift: 5:00am - 2:30pm 2nd shift: 2:30pm to 11:00pm (Adjusted rates to include premium) TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Sets up CNC Router machines using programs provided; operates all CNC machines. using the established steps for successful operation. Keeps all machines running at 85%; looks for process improvement opportunities. Performs quality control checks on every part coming off the machine and completes a rejected part form for every defective part.Pulls correct material, loads and unloads CNC machines, utilizes drops where possible. Removes parts from skeletons, cleans edges, and places them neatly in the queue for the panel processing cell with the job packet. Runs material through the panel processing cell, including checking drawings for what processes are required, running material through those machines, verifying accuracy of completed parts, and placing them neatly in the queue for the next department with the job packet.Keeps work area clean and organized and puts away tools, supplies, and material.Performs weekly maintenance on all equipment and machines in the department. Disposes of scrap material. Dumps shavings from vacuum. Performs troubleshooting as needed. Responsible for the care and maintenance of jigs. Keeps material shelves organized.Communicates with CNC Area Leader, CNC Manager, and CNC team members regarding problems, concerns, status, and ideas for improvements. Notifies CNC Programmer of all problems with programs and machines. Coordinates activities with other CNC operations team members for smooth and efficient production in the department. Provides advice, knowledge, and training for others in the department. Works collaboratively to develop possible solutions, analyze information, and solve problems.Seeks to improve job knowledge, learns all products and product codes. Processes job paperwork accurately, enters computer information accurately including completion information in the DPS system. Follows all safety requirements, work rules, and company policies. MATH ABILITY: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, decimals, proportions, percentages, and area. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to accurately read a tape measure and caliper. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Gathers and analyzes information, considers consequences, and arrives at timely decisions that meet organizational goals. Flexible and receptive to change. COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computer operations.
