GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS CONSULTANT IIPosition# 64001308 Description:Facilities contract liaison and quality control. Incumbent maintains working knowledge of all facilities related service contracts and purchase orders to provide subject matter expertise. Supports quality control by conducting field inspections and ensuring agreed upon scopes of work are completed timely and satisfactory. Maintains facilities and custodial strategic and action plans, ensures benchmarks and goals are on schedule and met. Conducts research, as assigned, to identify best practices and relevant innovations that may improve operations or contribute to cost controls.
Project management and new construction liaison. Incumbent will maintain working knowledge of permit processes for all projects. Will monitor progress of ongoing building projects and provide regular reports to facilities manager. Will provide project management oversight for capital improvement projects. Maintains schedules for capital improvement projects, preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, regulatory inspections, etc. Conducts research as assigned.
Supports Safety Officer and serves as liaison between Safety and Facilities programs to ensure deficiencies identified during inspections and/or evacuation drills are addressed and documented timely. Coordinates projects with both Safety and Facilities implications such as regular inspections of elevators, fire extinguishers, UV lights, etc. Supports accident and injury investigations and corrective actions documentation and reporting, in coordination with Safety Officer, as needed. Supports staff training and new hire orientation as needed. Attends and supports coordination of Safety Committee meetings. As needed, conducts accident investigations and safety inspections. Assists Safety Officer in maintenance of department’s safety plan.
Coordinate with landlords and internal stakeholders to ensure requests and needs from the programs are addressed, space matrices are maintained, invoices are reconciled against contracts, and records for all leased facilities are maintained.
Serves as liaison between Public Health Preparedness and Facilities program. Maintains Continuity of Operations plan, including contact lists for facilities program. Serves as Disaster Preparedness Program Liaison. Ensures facilities staff completes preparedness related trainings and participate in emergency response exercises, as appropriate. Ensures all relevant staff have appropriate emergency duty assignments. Conducts regular notifications drills using Everbridge ServFL or other established method. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the principles and techniques of the skilled building trades or mechanical repair work.
Knowledge of safety procedures required in maintenance and repair work.
Knowledge of commonly used office word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software as well as general computer literacy.
