Job Title:Assistant Manager OperationsRequisition Number:20279Position Type:Full TimeCity:McDonoughCampus:AtlantaState/Province:GeorgiaJob Description:The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products.Primary Duties:Coordinates distribution and warehousing in a cross dock operationConfers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in the areaDevelops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employeesReviews costs and making changes/recommendations to maintain and enhance profitable operation of divisionsDevelops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employeesParticipates in marketing and sales efforts, ensuring assigned facilities have the resources necessary to meet company goals and objectives, as well asP&L responsibilitiesSupervises several warehouse positions to include Team Leaders and Operations SupervisorOther duties as required and assignedRequirements:Education and Experience:High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalencyMinimum 3 to 5 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and trainingPC proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookEssential Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formEnvironment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
