CRANE RESISTOFLEX Production Operator - PTFE Fittings in Marion, North Carolina

First shift position available in the Fittings area. Hours are typically 6am-2:30pm, but overtime may be required.Job Duties and RequirementsUse blueprint reading skills to interpret engineering drawings and customer supplied specifications.Inspect components and finished housing in accordance with the manufacturing procedures throughout the assembly process with measuring instruments, not limited to but including tape measure, micrometers, clippers and angle measuring tools.When required empty scrap metal bin into scrap metal roll-off container.Perform material handling functions using hand trucks, carts, and crane systems.Report production and labor on VDT and work order traveler.Will transfer from department to department as well as change shifts as production needs require.Primary job functions will change as required by production needs.Perform set-ups of machinery and equipment toolingMaintain a clean and orderly work area.All employees are required to work safely so as not to endanger themselves or others.QualificationsMust be able to lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance.Must have basic blueprint reading skills to interpret engineering drawings and specifications necessary to perform job.Must have basic math skills including addition/subtraction of fractions and decimal values for determining material, manufacturing and inspection requirements.Must have ability to read measuring instruments not limited to but including: tape measure, thickness gage, balance scales, micrometers and calipers.Must have good hand-eye coordination, grip strength and dexterity to handle and produce products using hand and machine tools at established production standards.Must have a HS diploma/GED equivalent.
