STATEMENT OF JOBThe SS Welder I/Trainer reports to the Stainless Steel (SS) Unit Production Supervisor. Using a TIG-welding process (by machine), Repair Booth techniques, this person welds stainless steel cylinders; in addition, they will be responsible for performing hand-weld repairs. Certificate or 1-3 years of experience in all weld processes. Must have reading, writing and simple math skills. Must be able to read blue prints and work with small hand tools including grinders. Must have previous experience working as a Machine Operator II within Stainless Steel. Forklift operation and maintenance of a current license is preferred. Must have the ability to work well with others and successfully complete a LMS training course related to coaching/training.DUTIES1.Operates highly complex machinery used in the production process. Adjusts and tig welds stainless steel shells and components from prints.2.Performs semi-complex machine set-ups; loads welder with component parts to be welded.3.Ensures machines are operating at required capacity and that production requirements are met.4.Monitors the performance of equipment; identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves problems in order to maintain efficient operations in accordance with the scorecard.5.Responsible to repair defects that occur in the machines during the production process and for making suggestions to the
