The Associate Director, SBS Operations, Planning and Reporting will have overall responsibility for leading teams and interfacing with business partners and key stakeholders, ensuring effective design and execution of the Strategic Business Support (SBS) Operations, Planning & Reporting group. The Associate Director will provide effective and disciplined project, program planning, management and support for improvement projects. The Associate Director will collaborate with Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing Sciences (PDMS), as well as interface with key business partners. The SBS Operations, Planning and Reporting groups responsibilities include:
Providing effective and disciplined project and program planning and management support for continuous improvement and SBS scientific systems & data analytics projects as required
PDMS capital management interface with finance
Maintenance and continuous improvement of PDMS Playbook of core business processes
Monitoring and reporting SBS capital and expense budgets and FTE resources
PDMS portfolio level reporting and analytics
Providing CMC level risk management support ensuring access to tools and reporting
PDMS continuous improvement project benefits capture and reporting
Import / Export management, coordination and oversight ensuring compliance to internal and external standards for all global trade commission import/export (I/E) activities across Janssen Research and Development (JRD), including PDMS and Discovery Sciences.
Executive level performance metrics, reporting and updates as applicable
Responsible for ensuring that we are resourcing the team with the right talent and have the processes in place that allow us to deliver on our current and future business needs
Responsible for measuring and monitoring effectiveness of related execution strategies and continuously improving to meet evolving business needs
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sciences or related field is required
An advanced degree is preferred.
A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry is required.
A minimum of 3 years direct line people leadership experience is required.
Demonstrated success leading teams in the development and execution of related strategies in a complex matrixed environment is also required
Excellent presentation and communication skills, effective at all levels is required.
Ability to work under pressure in a complex changing environment is also required
Excellent organizational, planning, managing and prioritizing skills is required.
Knowledgeable in the use of project management methodologies and tools such as Tableau, MS tools, Sharepoint, are strongly preferred
Strong business and financial acumen is also required.
