This position is responsible for assisting in the daily support of trade processing, security master processing, daily position reconciliations and cash management across a wide array of asset sectors and products. Responsibilities include trade execution and settlement support, data quality control, updating databases, system maintenance, collateral management, counterparty maintenance, process improvements and documentation. Monitors and verifies data from multiple sources including third-party investment systems. Researches data anomalies and resolves data issues and inconsistencies. Works effectively in a team environment to meet overall operational goals.

Preferred candidates with:

-1-2 years of experience demonstrating financial service operations

-Experience with trade settlements

-Experience with position reconciliation

-Experience with cash management

-Experience with security master files

This position will report to the Investment Operations Manager.

Job Description:

Primary Accountabilities

Trade and Related Security Master Processing (40%)

  • Assist in the setup, enrichment and data quality checks of new security masters.

  • Assist in collateral management and securities on deposit.

  • Assist offsite support team to ensure all trade breaks and issues are resolved.

  • Perform end of day review to ensure all transactions are confirmed.

Order Management System (OMS) Support (30%)

  • Review start of day processing results to ensure all inputs have processed and are reasonable.

  • Confirm external manager data has loaded and address any issues.

  • Maintain broker, trade routing and standing settlement instructions.

  • Perform daily position, cash and trade reconciliations.

  • Assist in preparing and maintaining operations procedure documentation.

Cash Management (30%)

  • Work with Portfolio Managers to coordinate cash transfers between portfolios.

  • Monitor cash balances daily for transaction and business needs.

  • Assist offsite support team with cash reconciliation and research issues.
