Setup and operate all inkjet and mailing devices according to specification on the job ticket as well as maintaining quality standards of jobs produced by these machines. Ensure each and every order is produced to specification while meeting delivery deadlines.Requires knowledge of standard set ups, adjustments and operating characteristics of the equipment and skill to perform standard adjustments and operate the equipment. Ability to set up, operate, and perform basic adjustments to the equipment according to the individual job requirements, operating characteristics, and capabilities of the equipment. Typically, the adjustments performed at this level are routine and the need for such adjustments are readily apparent.Responsibilities include:•Daily operation of mailing machines.•Hand sorting of digitally produced mail pieces.•Run a powered industrial vehicle (Forklift, pallet jacks).•Read and understand postal documents.•Demonstrate basic ability of general computer knowledge that will allow the use of intercompany technology systems.•Maintain overall cleanliness of the machine operating area.•Maintenance of mailing machines.•Load and unload trucks when needed.•Demonstrate commitment to safety and performs job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.•Maintaining on going inventory of mailing supplies (Postal pallets, trays, tray sleeves and etc.).•Maintaining inventory of mailing machine supplies (Inkjet ink, tabs and etc.).Required ExperienceAddress Inkjet Machine operation experience.Mail piece tabbing machine experience.Basic knowledge of USPS business mail regulations, as it mail piece production.Basic mechanical knowledge.Basic personal computer knowledge.Must be able to operate a power industrial vehicle (licensed).Strong attention to detail.Able to lift up to 50 lbs; including bending, twisting, walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time.Able to work overtime when needed.Job LocationMadison Heights, Michigan, United StatesPosition TypeFull-Time/RegularRR Donnelley is an EEO/AA including Vets and Disabled Employer RR Donnelley is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
