CACI International Cyberspace Operations Planner in Macdill Afb, Florida

Job Description:


Provide Cyberspace Operations (CO) expertise at USSOCOM J39X. The Cyberspace Operations Planner develops concepts for employment of Offensive and Defensive Cyberspace Operations (OCO/DCO) in support of USSOCOM mission sets.


  • The CO planner researches, interprets, analyzes and applies applicable cyberspace directives, policies and regulations. Emphasizes policies and procedures for accomplishment of CO operational plans, exercises and agreements with other organizations.

  • Provides advice on significant issues and problems related to work accomplishment. Establishes metrics and analysis systems to ensure actions are timely and reviewed at critical points. Accepts, amends, or rejects work presented by subordinates.

  • Performs self-inspection and presents detailed and comprehensive report with any corrective action taken to supervisor. Follows-up to ensure complete and quality resolution of discrepancies.

  • Assesses and recommends policies and procedures as needed to find ways to improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency of work.


  • Knowledge of U.S. Special Operations Command and the association of cyberspace operations planning and coordination requirements with the unified command structure, the Joint Staff, combatant commands, military services, the intelligence community, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

  • In-depth knowledge of cyberspace operations technologies, directives, instructions, policies and publications.

  • Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conduct analysis, develop recommendations, and package the entire process in briefings, papers or reports suitable for top management use and decision making.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiates complex working issues and maintains good working relationships.

  • Mastery of the cyberspace operations field. This includes mastery of the professional concepts, principles and practices that enable the incumbent to use experienced judgment, rely upon knowledge of new developments, and apply experimental theories in solving problems of a novel or obscure nature and in making decisions that result in the development of or significant change to important CO polices or programs.


  • Recent experience on a Special Forces staff at national, major command, joint or combined HQ.

  • Combined Joint SOF staff experience.

  • Previous USCYBERCOM or Joint Force Headquarters - Cyber or Combatant Command (CCMD) Joint Cyber Center (JCC) experience.
