Operational Risk Management (ORM) works proactively with global functions and operations to embed a strong operational risk management culture and framework across Citi’s Global Functions and Enterprise Operations (there are eleven organizations that comprise Citi’s Global Functions (GF) and Enterprise Operations (EO) (with activities that encompass the first, second and third lines of defense).

Operational Risk Senior Manager will be responsible for identifying, anticipating, challenging, and mitigating risks that could impact business objectives, and minimizing operational risk events and losses in assigned Global Function/Operation entities. This position will be part of a high caliber virtual global team supporting the Operational Risk challenge role related to Global Functions and Enterprise Operations.

Challenging, documenting, and where appropriate escalating issues, for assigned GF/EO organizations:

•Underlying MCA entities;

•Key Material/Key Operational Risks, metrics, and thresholds; and

•Scenario analysis.

•Conducting analysis on emerging/potential issues;

•Providing value added feedback to the GF and EO organization leads & the in-business risk staff;

•Coordinating with virtual team ORM regional members GF/EO organization’s identification and assessment of significant risks;

•Responding to inquiries, supporting business in audits, contributing to Operational Risk initiatives, maintaining ORM GF and EO risk management documentation in CitiRisk.


• Strong analytical and project management skills.

• Excellent communication skills and knowledge of controls.

• Experience in Operational Risk.

• Knowledge of GF (e.g, Compliance, Finance, Risk, Human Resources) and /or Operations.

• Ability to:

o Develop strong partnerships across the organizations;

o Diffuse conflict and work toward agreement;

o Prioritize high impact potential problems effectively;

o Consider broad implications of decisions;

o Lear how to use operational risk systems.
