Position Description

We currently have a vacancy for a Director - HR Shared Services Operations, EMEA and APAC to join our global HR function based in our European HQ in London (Weybridge, Surrey) The successful candidate will be accountable for leading, directing and prioritizing the delivery of services by the HR shared services teams for about c.6000 employees across more than 40 countries. This role will provide the vision and leadership in developing consistent operational processes and procedures for all businesses under the Brambles group of companies in EMEA and APAC. The role will have four direct reports and will lead an overall department of c.45 staff.Role responsibilities

• Provide leadership in setting up the AskHR and Field HR Support services. Work with VP of HR Shared Services to establish technology footprint for the centre including telephony, case management, portal and knowledge base.• Develop, deliver and direct the design effort of HR operations including workflow, metrics reporting and data integrity supporting 6000 employees.• Confirm delivery of value-added, measurable HR support services, procedures and processes tied to HR strategic objectives and aimed at increasing employee success and satisfaction.• Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence leaders and HR Business Partners to ensure flawless delivery of global programs at the transactional level.• Direct the design and configuration efforts of the case management and telephony workflow• Work with HR stakeholders to assess and optimize processes and services, leveraging automation and ensuring HR is viewed as delivering services and products seamlessly• Ensure a process of continuous improvement initiatives with an eye on cost leadership and service.• Direct the RFP process for establishing procurement of HR services from vendors pertaining to HR processes.• Provide the vision and direction for the development of the employee / agent facing HR Knowledge base, call triage scripts and job aids enabling task completion at the Tier 1 level• Partner with the HR Systems team to ensure system configuration is in accordance with policy requirements• Stay up to date on trends and development within functional area of expertise and support center technology• Champion Brambles Global HR Transformation initiatives• Manage the communications with the stakeholder groups in the regions• Create and manage the governance mechanism for the HRSS Operations across the regions• Support continuous improvement initiatives and projects across the functional areas within HRSS

Skills and experience required

• Minimum 10 years management experience of international HR operations delivery/HR Shared Services environments• Experienced in managing HR Shared Services environments, ideally in a global, highly matrixed organisation• Strong overall leadership experience with experience of managing an overall HR department in an international environment (minimum 20 people)• Proven record of creative and analytical thinking as well as significant business acumen with a "roll up the sleeves" attitude.• Well-developed internal and external relationship management and consultative skills as well as the ability to thrive in an energetic, fast paced corporate culture.• Ability to multi task and manage multiple priorities.• Demonstrated ability to see the big picture of a complex multi-faceted organization.• Demonstrate project leadership experience and a successful track record of leading organisational change.• Excellent management skills and ability to organize and plan effectively to meet short and long term goals• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, motivate and manage change• Ability to exercise professional judgment and assume responsibility for decisions impact people, service levels and cost• Process improvement orientation• Highly organized, detailed, and proven ability to achieve objectives through building a committed team.• HCM (Workday advantageous), HR Helpdesk and Self-Service Portal experience required• Previous Service Center start-up experience highly desirable• Case Management Tool configuration and Telephony Reporting and Analysis experience helpful
