Job Summary

  • Our Client, a seasoned financial company, is seeking an Operations Risk Manager based in Livingston, NJ.

  • The Technology and Operations - Operational Risk (TOOR) Department is the first line of defense for both the IT and Operations departments at our Client.

  • This role reports to the Director of TOOR and will be responsible for oversight of effective internal controls, including identifying, assessing and mitigating risks.

  • Our Client’s primary focus is oversight of the risk environment within IT and Operations, and ensuring that activities are consistent with management goals and objectives.

  • This is a junior level position.


  • Managing and tracking all issues within IT and Operations, assisting with development of action plans, ensuring remediation targets/timelines are met, reporting to senior management and escalating issues.

  • Assisting with the preparation and planning for all internal and external audits, including government agencies. This includes maintaining the audit schedule and coordinating efforts of participating departments and personnel.

  • Managing the IT and Operations policy exception process, assisting with the validation of interim controls and coordinating the tracking and renewal/closure of open items.

  • Assist with TOOR data analysis and metrics requests as needed.

  • Assist with Operational Risk activities, including clean desk policy management, business continuity and disaster recovery.

  • Collaborates and coordinates with various risk areas, including Compliance, Information Risk, and Audit Department.



  • Familiarity with IT, databases, data security, baselines, etc.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work well with all levels of management, including the ability to present information and respond to questions.

  • Strong computer skills, MS Office (including Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint), presentations, spreadsheets.

  • A desire to learn, an inquisitive nature, and the motivation to seek answers and provide solutions.

  • High learning agility, strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
