Responsibilities

The Technology and Operations (T&O) Operational Risk team is the first line of defense for the IT and Operations group at CIT. This role will provide leadership to a group of risk professionals that manage risk within T&O.Responsibilities:• Coordinate all key risk activities and demonstrate a good understanding of top and material risks within T&O• Act as the central point of contact between T&O and various internal and external risk groups (risk mgmt, internal audit, external audit, regulators)• Be aware of T&O policies and procedures governing risk activities, ensure controls are in place to comply, and escalated and resolve any deficiencies in a timely fashion• Provide and coordinate input to key corporate and regulatory initiatives• Participate in Corporate Risk assessment processes, such as SOX, CCAR, Operational Risk Control Self-Assessments, Vendor Risk Assessments, Compliance Risk Assessments, Business Continuity Planning, etc.; monitor results and issues raised and ensure remediation is progressing timely• Develop actionable risk management dashboards for the T&O Mgmt, to include key risk indicators, leverage existing, and develop new reporting as needed; ensure alignment of management reports with business line risk reports• Identify risk limits and process to monitor compliance and escalate breaches within T&O and to the Corporate Risk team• Participate in select Risk committees to ensure quarterly elevation of risks to Corporate Risk; provide updates on the development of the business line risk framework• Lead ad-hoc risk remediation and control enhancement projects• Regularly update business line Head on risk issues and ensure leadership involvement in decision making related to these risk items

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in financial services, with specific experience in Tech and/or Ops risk management, or consulting in risk-related roles• Commercial Banking and Leasing experience preferred with good knowledge of financial services products, including loans, leases, etc.• Familiarity with Risk frameworks such as FFIEC, NIST, COBIT and Basel 3• Proven leadership ability• Ability to prioritize and multi-task• Strong written communication and interpersonal skills• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint• Strategic or risk management consulting experience preferred• Self-starter, able to work independently or on teams and cross-functionally• Comfort and confidence in interaction with all levels of management and front-line teams
