Lockheed Martin Project Engineer Staff - CAM - Special Operations Forces in Lexington, Kentucky
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Project Engineer to support our Special Operations Forces Support Activity (SOFSA) contract. This program is critical to the success of US service men and women deployed throughout the world. Our mission is to rapidly and properly equip the SOF community and its war fighters with the best possible systems and equipment anywhere in the world.
As a Project Engineer, you will support our troops as part of an engineering team based in Lexington, Ky.
The Project Engineer (PE) is responsible for leading a multi-discipline engineering team in developing rapid proposals and modification efforts on a variety of fixed wing aircraft. The PE ensures the requirements are baselined, fully documented, traced, maintained and adequately verified. The PE ensures the program's technical resource needs are met and maintains and communicates manpower needs to leadership. The PE is the Control Account Manager (CAM) for the engineering effort of assigned programs.
Basic Qualifications Background in design and/or development efforts Experience with requirements development and maintenance (System Specifications, etc.) Previous Proposal & Basis of Estimate (BOE) experience Proven success managing budget and schedule of engineering/development effort Demonstrated experience in driving complex issues or problems to successful closure Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with external customers
Support internal and external customer audits on program performance Exceptional communication skills Proven ability to collaborate with Program Management, Customers, and other matrix organizations
Desired skills Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) Risk and Opportunity Management experience Experience leading modification designs for C-130 or other similar fixed wing aircraft Active DoD secret level clearance
