We are looking for an experienced Operations Test Engineer to join our Lancaster, NY operations. The right candidate for this role will be a self-starter who is passionate about the work they do.

General Statement:

Operations Test Engineer is responsible for supporting and creating equipment, assembly stations and test stands for production support. The equipment may be used manually by an operator or be fully automated.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Interact with all departments (design, quality and manufacturing) to obtain product specifications to build equipment to.

  • Build equipment to requirements (individually and/or with a team).

  • Utilize six sigma lean tools to prove capability of equipment and make improvements to equipment.

  • Self manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

  • Perform manufacturing engineering related jobs, such as but not limited to; PFMEA, lean initiatives, time studies, rebalancing lines, work instructions, and process improvement.

Qualifications:

Education

Required – BS - Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent

Experience Required – 1 – 3 years minimum test engineering preferably in aerospace environment

Preferred – 3 + years test engineering preferably in aerospace environment

Special Knowledge/Skills

Required –

  • Read, interpret and understand specifications and schematics

  • Experience with PLC and HMI programming

  • Proficient with Windows based PC and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Capable of using CAD and Microsoft Visio

  • Self driven, organized and have a high attention to detail

Preferred - Experience with Allen Bradley PLC's, SpaceClaim, and pneumatics for Oxygen and Air
