Healthfirst Sr. Development Operations Engineer in Lake Mary, Florida

The engineer will work within the Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) team in collaboration with DBAs and System administrators managing various technologies. The role requires constant interaction with core infrastructure architecture team and application development community to deliver robust and scalable automated deployment platform.

The DevOps automation engineer is responsible for building the automation of Application deployment and supporting the same. Application deployment consists of various areas such as SAS, SQLServer, Informatica, .Net, IIS, Pega, Salesforce, MuleSoft, Qlikview, Tableau, AWS Services, Azure Services and any other custom built applications. The engineer also will ensure the automation framework is scalable to new technology adoptions the company would invest into.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Infrastructure architecture team, application deployment and development teams.

  • Work extensively in Windows and Linux (Centos/Ubuntu) environments in on-prem and AWS environments.

  • Work with industry leading DevOps tools to architect and implement the application deployment process at Healthfirst.

  • Collaborate with development and administration teams to support technologies – Puppet, Jenkins, JFrog, Python, GIT/TFS, Maven, and PowerShell.

  • Work with application/infrastructure teams to build a robust Continuous Integration, Delivery and Deployment platform for Healthfirst.

  • Standardize and manage CI/CD setup procedures for monitoring deployment process performance, testing, error handling, reporting, archiving, and optimizing.

  • Scope, plan and manage DevOps infrastructure enhancements and Upgrades.

  • Evaluate and address DevOps infrastructure performance and data audit requirements for application deployment projects.

  • Serves as lead point of contact for DevOps issues.

  • Work as part of the production team and with the project managers to coordinate automation development and determine project scope to optimize the efficiency of the organization’s business processes and manage projects to successful completion.

  • Participate in Production and IS department meetings by offering support and suggestions for the execution and development of project and work plans. Share knowledge and expertise with fellow team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have strong deployment and release management experience in heterogeneous environments.

  • 5+ years of building automation framework using Puppet configuration management

  • 5+ years of strong scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, batch scripting.

  • Extensive experience in Jenkins working with various modules – building pipelines, integrating with TFS/GIT, writing groovy, streamlining of application jobs and their reporting.

  • Extensive knowledge in build-release engineering, CI/CD automation frameworks.

  • Develop Maven scripts for application build.

  • Good experience working in cloud technologies AWS and Azure.

  • A good understanding of build and deployment practices around technologiesSAS, SQLServer, Informatica, .Net, IIS, Pega, Salesforce, MuleSoft, Qlikview, and Tableau.

  • Strong documentation capability.

  • Exceptional organization skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building interfaces to integrate with ServiceNow using API calls.

  • Any experience/understanding of Containerization/Micro services- Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos etc.

  • Experience with deployment tools like Code Deploy, Octopus Deploy, Udeploy, Rapid deploy etc.

  • Experience of Setting up AML tools JAMA, JIRA etc.

  • Experience to work in AWS, AZURE Cloud environments.

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
