Elliott Group Environmental Health and Safety Manager, Field Operations in Lachen, Switzerland
An excellent opportunity has become available to join Elliott Group as an Environment Health & Safety Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the EHS program in Europe and the Middle East with an emphasis on Field based operations.
This position will direct and lead EHS regulatory compliance programmes and initiatives for the Field Service Engineering Operation. The Environment Health & Safety Manager will be expected to identify opportunities for risk management and reduce regional EHS risks and liability.
This is a key and position at Elliott Group that requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills as this position must interact with all levels of the organization and work directly with senior leadership.
As an Environment Health & Safety Manager your main responsibilities will include:
Implement the EHS strategic plan for Field Service Operations and support leadership with EHS matters.
Develop and lead implementation of EHS systems for Europe and Middle East field operations.
Collaborate with other EHS Managers in Global Service in the UK, Americas and Asia Pacific.
Identify, establish, and maintain internal processes for EHS such as procedures, work instructions, directives, and guidelines.
Manage the system to standardized EHS metrics to be used to establish long and short term goals for repair operations.
Manage legacy information and control critical EHS data including third party audit reports, risk assessment reports, key health and safety documents and environmental permits.
Manage the strategic interface with external regulatory agencies and external EHS legal counsel for compliance matters.
Manage the incident investigation process to identify trends, best practices, and opportunities for incident prevention.
Provide leadership and technical guidance for EHS Coordinators at the repair locations.
Reduce EHS risks, liability and associated financial costs pertaining to compliance for the repair operations.
Serves as the EHS expert for repair operations and remain actively engaged with continuing education relevant to this position in order to maintain EHS certifications and to ensure regulatory knowledge on changes that may affect EHS compliance.
As an Environment Health & Safety Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
BEng, BSc Health Safety and Environment or equivalent experience in a related discipline.
Proven track record of managing EHS in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Experience dealing with people at all levels
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
An excellent command of the English language (spoken and written).
Results orientated individual who is innovative and self-motivated.
Experienced with international customers and working with a Global company is desirable.
Ability to recognise and manage political situations.
Proficiency with MS Office in Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Excellent command of the English language.
Office based in Lachen, Switzerland, UK, Silchester, or Abu Dhabi with frequent travel throughout Europe & Middle East.
