Role Summary:

Responsibility for supporting and maintaining multiple user and customer-facing applications and related data processing platforms and services. Role ensures the user-facing business applications are consistently available and are highly performant meeting customer expectations. Continuously measures application performance and availability against published SLA’s and operational commitments, end to end.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintenance of application programs & interfaces

  • Coordinates with end users and architects to accomplish functionality enhancements.

  • Demonstrates command of multiple programming languages , basic systems analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage, and interfacing

  • Maintains peer relationships across IT areas to support effective support delivery.

  • Working knowledge of case and incident management tools and application uptime and case metrics.

  • Work in a team environment or independently when necessary and be self-directed when appropriate

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Application development experience Core Java, J2EE, Multithreading, Collections, JDBC, JSP, Servlets, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Struts, EJB; Any of JAVA IDE and debugging tools

  • Hands-on experience with more than one of the full development life cycle phases: analysis, designing, coding, testing, performance tuning or documentation.

  • IT program development experience or equivalent.

  • Analytical, creative and business focused problem-solver.

  • Great team worker, willing to learn how to cooperate with others and lead initiatives.

  • Willingness to learn how to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.

  • Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience would be an asset.

  • Database technologies and SQL, Procedures, Functions ,Triggers, Packages

  • Understanding of Service Management processes

  • Strong business analysis and problem solving skills

  • Proactively engages with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and design solutions using critical thinking and analytical skills and best practices

  • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with other GE businesses

  • Basic Knowledge of ITIL processes and Service now tool
