Job Overview

The Senior Manager, Hospital Sales Operations leads Mead Johnson Nutrition’s Hospital Operations Team. The primary focus is on the development of long-term hospital strategies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leads the development and implemention of Long-term Hospital strategy:

  • Develops a comprehensive hospital strategy, demonstating knowledge of changing healthcare environment, market dynamics, the context of Healthcare Sales strategy and objectives of the overall marketing strategy.

  • Completes annual Bid Strategy identifying obligations, opportunities, risks and resources required.

  • Provides comprehensive submissions in response to hospital RFP’s and upon award successfully negotiates final contract with hospital customers.

2. Builds strong, sustained and productive relationships with key hospital customers :

  • Leads the effort, in collaboration with internal stakeholders to support the needs and challenges faced by key hospital customers.

  • Identifies key decision makers involved in hospital contracts, developing an ongoing dialogue, understanding of cutomer priorities and taking action to capitalize on opportunities.

  • Ensures that hospital customers understand and appreciate Mead Johnson Nutrition’s capabilitlites and experience in providing quality, consistency and innovation with its products and services.

3. Leads Hospital Operations team and promotes collaboration with diverse teams:

  • Develops, coaches and motivates direct reports identifying capabilities, capitalizing on strengths, opportunites to develop skills and collaborating on career plans.

  • Create a collaborative environment, providing clarity of purpose, empowering team accountability and ownership with high commitment to achieving business goals.

  • Develops strong internal and external network to facilitate the achievement of strong business performance. Uses situational leadership in dealing with team and internal partners; acts as a sponsor to facilitate the resolution of business critical issues.

Qualifications

  • Familiar with market trend data such as AC Nielsen, POS and usage of market research studies.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in French and English is an asset

Experience:

  • 7 years healthcare sales experience managing customer’s relationships within hospital setting

  • Contract negotiation and making effective presentations to internal/external stakeholders.

  • Collaborating with complex buying groups organization

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to develop people.

  • Superior communication and negotiation skills, written and verbal.

  • Experience in demonstrating good judgment and creativity in resolving customer issues.

  • Financial management, sales management and marketing.

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree: university, or equivalent degree/diploma in business, health sciences, administration or related subject required.
